What is Rotary? Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who come together to make positive, lasting change in communities at home and abroad.
We solve real problems that take real commitment and vision. For more than 110 years, Rotary members have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world, and we stay committed to the end.
Our motto: Service Above Self
For more than 110 years our guiding principles have been the foundation of our values: service, fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership.
What Lake Elmo Rotary has done
Each year we donate and delivery dictionaries to every 3rd grader at Lake Elmo Elementary
We ARE the 4th of July Ice Cream Social
We provide meals at the Ronald McDonald house/Children’s hospital
We bring Christmas to families at Bethlehem Lutheran Church
We support Christian Cupboard Food shelf
Biannual Red Cross blood drive at the Lake Elmo Event Center
We sponsor and drive golf carts at the Washington County Fair for those that need a little help getting around fairgrounds
Support global grants and volunteers to make impact in areas that we can’t personally impact
We see a need….. The need to make impact with kindness. We believe that kindness is contagious and good for us and inspiring consequences really do spiral when we do simple, compassionate acts for others without expecting anything back.
“Every act of kindness is like a pebble thrown in a pond sending out ripples far beyond where the pebble entered the water. When we are caring and kind to our neighbors, our actions send rings of kindness that spread from neighbor to neighbor to neighbor.” Angela Artemis
